CHESIL BANK NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
NEWSLETTER NUMBER 15

Following approval to submit the Neighbourhood Plan to Dorset Council by the
Chesil Bank Parish Council on the 5th December 2022, the Plan has now been
reviewed by Dorset Council and other interested parties. As a result, a number
of comments have been received and once the Independent Examiner has had
the opportunity to raise any additional queries or comments, the Steering
Group will rework the Plan as required.
Dorset Council submitted all relevant documents to the Independent Examiner
on the 23rd March 2023 and it is our expectation that the Examiner will start
work on Monday 27th March 2023. This work is likely to take 6-8 weeks during
which time they may raise queries or comments. We are expected to respond
to any queries or matters of clarification within 2 weeks of them being raised.
Assuming the Examiner takes the full 8 weeks then the latest date for
completion of his assessment is Friday 12th May 2023.
Once we have an understanding of the extent of any rework then we will be
able to let you have more information regarding the anticipated date for the
Referendum.
